Doing exploits is simply an attribute and character of the believer in Christ Jesus. This is because Jesus expects every believer do exactly the same things He(Jesus) would have done if He was still here on earth. Just like we read in the scriptures, He healed the sick, raised the dead, brought joy to families and restored people who had lost all hope of living. He expects us to do the same. This is why He said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven”. Jesus meant to show us that there is a way of life apportioned to the believer. He is not one who lives life anyhow and does anything He likes. A believer’s life must reflect the glory of God and this in turn would draw other people closer to God and they would also begin to live like him.
Jesus also mentioned in the book of John 7:38, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water”. This literally means that the same thing that flows from Him would also begin to flow from whoever believes in Him. This is why He also said in John 14:12, “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he also do; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father”. So, you see, Jesus expects every of His child to do exactly the same things He did, because we are His representatives and ambassadors here on earth.
This is therefore, why we do exploits; it is the default setting of every believer. He expects us to offer help to the helpless, heal the broken hearted etc. through His word. If we are not doing exploits, it means we are living below standard and the father will not be happy to see any of His children not measuring up and living his standards; hence, He told us to multiply, dominate and fill the earth. He also gave us a command to occupy Till He comes.
