As I picked up my pen to write on this topic; a question flashed before me, Are you a purpose driven vessel? Some years back I remembered being so obsessed with discovering God purpose for my life that I sought the face of God. The Lord gave me two scriptures which I believed wraps up his purpose for my life. (Romans 8:19, Eph 2: 10). And now all I ask is for the grace to walk in this light one step at a time as he gradually unfolds the big picture little by little.

The search of the purpose of years has puzzled people for thousands of years. That is because we typically begin at the wrong point ourselves. Contrary to what many popular books, movies and seminars postulate, you won’t discover your life’s meaning by looking within yourself. We ask self centered questions like what do I want to be? What should I do with my life? What are my goals, my ambitions, and my dreams for my future? But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life’s purpose. It’s not about you!

The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It is far greater than your family,, your career , or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why you are placed on this planet earth, you must begin with God. For everything, absolutely everything above and below, visible and invisible….. , everything got started in him and finds purpose in him. We are created for God’s pleasures. That is our No1 purpose in life to please our maker- col 1:16 (Msg). You were made by God and for God- and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It all starts with God.
