It was an awesome weekend last week 6th– 8th November, when the higher officials of SFI from all works of life gathered at the SFI headquarters Mega Auditorium in Anambra State after an interval of three months for a set apart and another strategic training on how to move ahead with the mandate of the ministry.
The meeting was to prepare these officials for the next phase of works to be carried out in the ministry’s different groups, chapters, areas and zones of their different locations.
During the meeting which was tagged: “Lord Lift Me Up”, the International President, Rev. Mrs Nches Iredu, took her time to explain what it means for God to lift one up. She taught that anyone who would grow and be lifted by God must be humble and honest. She challenged these leaders to take heed to themselves and hold on to God and his word. She stated that holding on to God enables you to forge ahead, this is because when you have the word of God and storms arises, the word keeps you afloat. She also explained that listening to other voices beyond the word of God is disastrous because just like Robert Chritchley sang, “all other ground is sinking sand”.
Furthermore, presidents of different chapters and areas took their turns to give a run-down of what they have done and achieved from the last time they had the higher officials’ conference till date.
At the end of the program, these higher officials had a lot to take back to their different chapters, areas and zones which would continue to keep the ministry’s flag flying. These take-homes also would equip them and enable them to keep handling their existing members and as well as the new members that would join the ministry with time.
Moreover, the delegates did not forget to give a special offering to God who has kept and protected them for these couple of months.
It was an awesome and refreshing time during the meeting as the environment was calm and peaceful as usual and one for spiritual growth.
Finally, Mummy, the International President urged these higher officials and presidents to go and keep winning souls for Christ as there is great joy in heaven when one soul is won, and because there is no greater gift to give to God than to win souls.
